Hi all, I am Jun Heng, i was from Ngee Ann Polytechnic previously. I would like to share my view regarding a quote. The quote is as follows: "Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. If a leader can't get a message across clearly and motivate others to act on it, then having a message doesn't even matter." By Gilbert Amelio, President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp.
I personally agrees and believe in that quote. For a leader to pass on great knowledge or ideas that one may have is through sharing. The leader must be able to express oneself well enough to convey the proper message in its purest form. I feel that if a leader can't get the intended message across clearly to the audience, no matter how great his message can be it can never impact his audience. The leader must owned the message and strongly believe in it then will one be able to share his heart and convey the message clearly.
